Plagiarism is unethical since it shows a lack of respect for others. You should appreciate other people’s labour in terms of ethics. Plagiarism from a scholar from another continent in a little essay or the usage of an idea from someone who has been dead for a long time is nevertheless considered impolite. You take someone’s hard work for granted and don’t express appreciation. It is unacceptable to steal another student’s ideas, words, or results of any other work and pass them off as your own. Some people work extremely hard in order to attain a goal or take advantage of a backdoor chance. Meanwhile, you do nothing and expect to get the same rewards.

Students who are obliged to prepare a research-based paper may believe that plagiarism is their only alternative due to poor time management skills or a lack of planning. The course, the assignment, the requirements of academic writing, and the consequences of plagiarism are all meaningless to some students. They are unable to cite since it was never taught to them. Teachers who believed it was “too early” or “too late” to teach citation entrapped them, preventing students from developing the skill or comprehending its importance.

Plagiarism has various negative effects on the educational process: it prevents students from developing innovative thinking and critical analytical skills. Plagiarism limits the amount of research, analysis, and critical thought that goes into preparing an original paper or report. This has a negative impact on a college student’s overall educational experience and progress
