This is the need of the hour to reduce climate change emissions in the world to make it better to live for our future generations. We can start this change with our society and Kotter’s eight step process for leading change in organizations is very helpful in leading this change.

In the first step, we have to establish a sense of change among ourselves. People are already aware of the climate changes. A sense of urgency to reduce these emissions should be generated among people with the help of campaigning and spreading information about the situation. The next step is to create a guiding coalition. There are many local and global organisations that are driving their members to reduce the emissions and work against the climate changes. Then, a vision and strategy should be created as if we know what to do and how to do it will make the work easier. To communicate this vision we must spread the awareness about how we can reduce the emissions. How we can save our natural resources and stop using things that harm our planet like reduce plastic waste, use less electricity, water and save our natural resources. We must select some corporate leaders who can help in bringing this change. Campaigns like no carbon footprint, zero waste or eco-friendly products can help. Generating short term wins is very important step in achieving the final goal as a small success provides a lot of motivation to work harder. As we move further towards achieving our goals we must consolidate our gains and produce more changes. We already try to use less plastic products, now government has banned the use of one time use plastic completely. At last we must adapt to these new approaches and bring this change in our lifestyles. As this is not a short term change, but we must bring these changes in our lives forever to save our environment.
