In this workplace scenario I am the auditor with boutique accounting and financial management firm. Here Emily is the intern working with the company. She used to ask many questions before starting any work. Sometimes it feels annoying. Here the problem is that Emily wants to put my name as a reference as she started applying for jobs. I know she is doing satisfying and adequate work but still she is not ready for the work, and I did not want to work with her.

For solving this dilemma, firstly, they need to give her the proper references for the work to make her feel confident that she is doing right work in this way she will ask less questions and work more.

Secondly, they must tell her the goals and expectations of the company and tell her the way about how they want everything to be done and ask her about how everything is going and give her feedback.

Lastly, if she wants to put the name of the auditor as a reference and she is asking for it before putting it anywhere the auditor needs to be clear with her about her work performance so that she should have knowledge about it how his employer thinks and on which things she need more improvement.

The most unethical solution is that they tell her she annoys them by asking repeatedly the same question and directly say no to her while she clarifies her doubts as well as they will feel more relieved after she completes her internship from there.
