What
In scenario #5 I understand there is a dilemma should Carlos stop socializing with employees outside of the office or not and continue this habit and treat them equally as Amna is Muslim and she doesn’t like to go to the pub.
After reading the framework for ethical decisions I found some solutions. The genuine approach to solving this dilemma is for Carlos should stop the meeting outside the office and he can discuss all the things at the workplace during the breaks and lunch. It would enhance their bond and can make a balance between professional and personal life as well as it can make their team better. If his junior and co-workers will see him as a friend, it can hurt their professional life so they can’t treat each other fairly. I think this is the best solution.
Secondly, he can stop all after-work meetings with all employees. Although in this situation, he can deal equally with everyone, but it can impact their social life and team bonds.
The last one he can continue to socialize according to his comforts and take his favorite colleagues to enjoy and discuss office work and career although it can give Carlos happiness but can create conflict among employees.
Therefore, the first solution is an ethical way to cope with this dilemma and with this approach he can do everyone equally and it would be beneficial for all of them.
So, what
After getting knowledge from the framework flow chart, I have some skills on how to make ethical decisions not only at the workplace but in my personal life. Before I make each decision, I should think about the consequences not only for me but also for my colleagues.
Now what
I can implement this way in my life to make some important decisions in future and can-do justice to everyone in an ethical way. I will follow these setups to tackle every dilemma.
