Ethics means doing morally right, it involves Honesty, discipline, responsibilities, respect, fair and so on. Academic ethics means ethics that require and should be in each student. Ethics plays a crucial role in students life at academic level, because they share the standards and values in their schools and colleges. Students require ethics in their schools and colleges, They should be fair, honest and respectful regarding their study and teachers. Some times, students do their work and take help from outside sources, but they do not give them credit from where they get information because the lack of information and fail to acknowledge of other’s work, Which leads to plagiarism. However, students use outside sources with good intensions and do not know about that how to mention or give credit to some else’s work. That is why, they led to plagiarism.
The reasons behind breaking the rules of plagiarism like in the fear of failure, lack of knowledge , lack of resources, and lack of motivation and confidence. When students do not know how to integrate the other’s idea with their work, do not know how to take care and document. Students from other cultures may not aware from rules of plagiarism. More, may be instructors do not guide and support about their research. or may be instructors defined plagiarism them in another way. Also, they are not getting aware about the concept of plagiarism by their teachers and instructors. There can be many reasons behind plagiarism.
Plagiarism can be avoid by providing support and help to improve their performance. Also, Confidence and passion for their assignments can help them to cut the fear and avoid plagiarism.
